Our SL wheel sets get everything thrown at them. The lightest parts are assembled into the Ultimate wheel
The Ultima 25 wheel set takes our newest rim profile and our lightest hubs to make sub-1450g wheels that still provide an amazing ride.
We have taken the Ultima 25 wheel set released last year and put it on a diet. Our Craftworx Ultima SL hubs weigh less than 250g without cutting any corners on design or durability to give you a super smooth rolling wheel set that is very light. These aren't strictly for climbers though, these wheels can be ridden all day, and you will be itching to get back out again tomorrow!Configure Here
*Wheelset weights will vary based on the configuration chosen.
Wheelset arrived in excellent time and straight out of the box I loved the look of them, the black u shaped rim really suits my Felt frame shape. I went with the blue hubs and nipples to match the colours in my frame and I was glad I did. Living in rural NSW there is some pretty rough farm roads on my usual trips and from first ride the comfort of these wheels is what really stood out, they glide over the bumps far better than the Vision wheelset they replaced. I am yet to give them a test ride on some long climbs but the weight savings are certainly noticeable. I raced on them on the weekend and even for a non-aero wheelset they have no problem maintaining speeds over 40km/h and not getting pushed by crosswinds is a nice relief. All up the value for money is incredible, you cannot buy factory built wheels with these specs for the price of these, would not hesitate to recommend. The only thing I could write that would be a knock on them was the weight was about 35 grams heavier, which is probably the weight of the rim tape, try getting that close from a factory built wheelset.
Have been using the Ultima 25 SLs for over a year and cannot fault them. I also have Shimano Dura Ace wheels (C24 and C35) but have not used them since I have purchased these . The tubeless factor is one reason , but my original thoughts were to train on the Ultimas and race on the Shimano wheels but now race on the Ultimas as well for road races and only use the Shimano wheels for Crits . Am considering buying another set for my second road bike .
I originally purchased the Ultima 25 SLs as an all weather option for my Campagnolo Bora Ultra 50 setup, but once I’d ridden the SLs on a few rides, the Boras have remained in their wheel bags ever since, and I’m struggling to imagine a time when I won’t continue to ride SLs on a full time basis
These wheels are so smooth and quiet, and the braking performance with the supply pads is phenomenal … and did I mention how quiet they are ;-)
Top shelf quality wheels at a great price … couldn’t ask for more
After much research on various wheel sets I decided to support an Australian company and was not disappointed. Easy ordering process and free delivery. I have just completed the first few hundred Km's on the new wheel and they feel great, really light and super smooth. Wheels look great with 25mm tyres.
My second set of Craftworx wheels and I just love them! They roll smoothly and look great.
