Ultima SL3 | Alloy | 1595 Grams

Happy to purchase an Australian made product and the rims looks great, refreshing my old bike frame.

Purchased the ultima about three years - then bought N+1 bike for gravel - recently upgraded the group set etc on older bike with the rim brake ultima wheels
Thoroughly enjoying the road on the Orbea frame with the ultima wheels. The freewheel is most pleasant sounding out of all of our bikes.
Cornering and turning so responsive and the ride compliant on varying road surfaces - now to acquire a set for the gravel bike....

So happy with this purchase as the wheels have acted like a new suspension system on an older bike. They soak up the imperfections of the not so perfect roads. My fourth set of wheels from Craftworx!

Better than I expected. Can't fault it as at time of writing.

Wheelset arrived in excellent time and straight out of the box I loved the look of them, the black u shaped rim really suits my Felt frame shape. I went with the blue hubs and nipples to match the colours in my frame and I was glad I did. Living in rural NSW there is some pretty rough farm roads on my usual trips and from first ride the comfort of these wheels is what really stood out, they glide over the bumps far better than the Vision wheelset they replaced. I am yet to give them a test ride on some long climbs but the weight savings are certainly noticeable. I raced on them on the weekend and even for a non-aero wheelset they have no problem maintaining speeds over 40km/h and not getting pushed by crosswinds is a nice relief. All up the value for money is incredible, you cannot buy factory built wheels with these specs for the price of these, would not hesitate to recommend. The only thing I could write that would be a knock on them was the weight was about 35 grams heavier, which is probably the weight of the rim tape, try getting that close from a factory built wheelset.
