We first chatted to Bryan a few weeks before the recent Handmade Bicycle Show in Melbourne. We discussed which wheels would suit him for his Baum Corretto. He made the trip from country Victoria to the show to check out the wheels in the flesh at the show. We arrived back in Brisbane to an order for a new set of Craftworx Ultima Carbon C50 SL's with blue hubs and nipples that would be a great match to his frame.

Thought I'd forward news of my delight at rolling out the new Ultima Aero's. They arrived safe and sound yesterday (well packaged) so couldn't resist fitting them in time for the hallowed Saturday bunch ride. Dearest old Cosmics (178,000km) had done me well (rather past their use by date) so I was impressed at Craftworx lightness in comparison. Climatizing to 25mm tyres (from years of riding 23mm) didn't take long, noticeably more comfortable with steering more forgiving. Road irregularities are absorbed without fuss yet still feel stiff when accelerating off the saddle, the contented carbon hum I'll call the Craftworx chorus. The finish quality is awesome, wheel wizard Mark gets an elephant stamp for his attention to detail! Needless to say, the bling factor was off the Richter scale with the bunch! (mixing it with Enve's, Zipps etc.) Glad I went with your suggestion of anodised blue hubs and nipples, co-ordinates well with the bike don't you think?
