Every rider is different, so the design approach for all Craftworx wheels is to look at a rider profile and design wheels that deliver performance, amazing ride quality and ride dynamics specifically tuned to match that profile.

We use different rim profiles, depths and components to achieve different dynamics that then deliver a wheel to suit the intended rider profile.

ULTIMA SL38

The extra depth of the SL38 over the SL28 gives it some more vertical stiffness. This compliments a rider who has a little more mass and can put out some more power. The SL38's deeper profile also allows for some aero gain when the speed is higher.

The SL38 is truly the all rounder. Suitable for most riders weights, it offers the perfect dynamic balance for any road conditions, provides excellent power transfer and lateral stability for out of the saddle efforts and cornering stiffness.

Dynamically Balanced

The result is a wheel set that is dynamically balanced for a rider less than 85kg.

All Craftworx wheels are hand built to order. We use high quality bladed spokes to to create the perfect balance between even spoke tension and ultimate strength without adding unnecessary weight.

Craftworx Ultima Carbon wheels offer excellent braking performance. We worked closely with Kool Stop, an American brake pad company to develop a brake pad specifically for our wheels. These pads provide great stopping power, durability and control over your braking.

The wheels can be used with tubeless tyres or clincher tyres (with tubes) and they are supplied with the rim tape fitted.

These wheels are optimised for 25 and 28mm tyres but you can easily use down to 23mm tyres and when clearance allows tyres up to 32mm will also fit on these wheels.

Each rim brake wheelset comes with our Ultima Quick Release Skewers that weigh only 71 grams and a set of the Ultima Carbon brake pads.

No regrets. Great wheels!

Next to the bike itself the purchase of wheels is usually the biggest cycling outlay. I’m glad to say I’ve no regrets. A chat with Nathan confirmed my choice of Ultima SL28s. Giddy up, these wheels surpassed my expectations.
Coming from a reasonable set of Fulcrum Zeros the difference was very noticeable. Climbing is improved and I was surprised how much improvement I gained with aero. I could not fault these wheels and I’ve given them a pretty good pounding so far.

Craftworx ULTIMA CARBON SL38. Great wheels, Great service!

I bought the SL38's about 5 months ago and they are fantastic. I did plenty of research and it has ended up being the best buy I have made to compliment my F8. True, responsive and stable. The service and advice from Mark and the team was equally enjoyable to deal with. If you are after a set of top end wheels I highly recommend you give Craftworx a try.

C38 SL aero Best wheels ever.

I purchased C38 SL aero tubeless wheels ready from Craftworx through my bike shop Spoke n sproket in Melbourne.
I have upgraded from Mavic overrated kysirium exalith Pro wheels which were very fast with noisy brakes. Enough about my problems. I took these wheels for a spin and they blew me away with scaryspeed and just had to hold the brake a little too slow down wasn't used to the scary speed I call it and smooth as silk with racing and braking performance 2nd to none and look modestly great. Money well spent and can't wait to ride them again. Mark and his team have so much passion in their field of wheel building and should be awarded with medals in my book. If the review was out of 10 I would give them 11. I can't stop rating these wheels. Mark and crew please keep up what your doing and get stronger with your passion.

Great experience end to end, completely recommended

I purchased a set of Ultima 38 Aero SL, both the product itself and the help I received were superlative.

I was interested in the 50s and the 38s, I asked about a mixed set, was told it'd be ok. After a nice yarn with Mark, it was clear that I needed a set of 38s, not a mixed 38/50. Mark didn't push me either way, just offered opinion and advice freely, which made it a very pleasant experience unlike when you go to a big box store and they simply try to push the most expensive item onto you ASAP.

I was offered a customized red set for which Mark sent the photos within 5 minutes of the call. Within an hour of putting in my order, they had it packed away and sent to the post office. I received it within a week, and had a question for which I sent an email. I got a phone call back within 1hr of my email. You just can't this kind of service anywhere else!

The wheels themselves are amazing. I've put them onto an old Cervelo Team Soloist, and it flies when my legs to their part. :) Compared to a set of Bontrager Aeolus 3s I have on my other bike, these are in no way inferior - I'd happily ride these against any other wheel on the market. I will be recommending these to my mates when they start getting the upgrade itch.

Thanks guys.
