Alloy Road Wheels

AMAZING PERFORMANCE AND VALUE

  • Great designs evolve over time, tweaking and tuning as new materials and manufacturing techniques present themselves
  • Our first Ultima wheelset was built in January 2016. We called it Ultima because ultimately, it was the very best that would could make, nothing held back, we threw every trick we knew into that wheelset, setting a new benchmark in ride performance

Carbon Road Wheels

FASTER BY DESIGN

  • The Ultima GEN 2 range is lighter, stronger and more aerodynamic, you can see and feel the difference
  • Our new carbon construction has increased strength and lateral stiffness, improving power transfer, efficiency and ride performance
  • Want more... All GEN 2 models now run Enduro Ceramic bearings

This is what fuels our passion

CRAFTWORX SPEEDPRO

These guys are incredible wheel builders. Mark and Nathan spent a lot of time talking to me about the right specs for my weight (100kg+) and style of riding. And it wasn’t purely about strength, they build in the right dynamics that will suite your riding style without compromising ride quality.......has transformed my Specialised Roubaix and has given me heaps more confidence on the bike. Really feels so solid but still a compliant ride…an absolute pleasure to ride.

CRAFTWORX ULTIMA SL85

I had a great time during the 90km bike leg. It was very windy along the FNQ coastline and these wheels ate everything up!My bike split was 2:33 - roughly 36 km/h avg, which is great for a swimmer like me. All of my descents were brilliant compared to everyone else. I hit 81 km/h at one point.I am really happy with these wheels and can't wait to race again. The next few races are sprint tri's, which are better suited to my fitness level. So I'm looking forward to smashing a few 20km bike legs!

CRAFTWORX ULTIMA SL50 / SL60 COMBO

They felt solid, and ran very smoothy (love the sound of the hubs – ceramic was worth it just for that)
No creaking when climbing steep hills out of the saddle and under load (650 watts according to the power meter)...Felt light and easy to accelerate.
Significant improvement on the Shimano dura ace c60’s

Martin, NSW

CRAFTWORX SPEEDPRO

Not all cyclists are created equal, some of us are created 100+ KG, if you are looking for no nonsense incredibly strong wheels, then these are just the ticket.
A word on the folks who sell them, as far as I can tell they are the final word on wheels, its worth trusting their advice.

CRAFTWORX ULTIMA CARBON 28

Next to the bike itself the purchase of wheels is usually the biggest cycling outlay. I’m glad to say I’ve no regrets. A chat with Nathan confirmed my choice of Ultima SL28s. Giddy up, these wheels surpassed my expectations.
Coming from a reasonable set of Fulcrum Zeros the difference was very noticeable. Climbing is improved and I was surprised how much improvement I gained with aero. I could not fault these wheels and I’ve given them a pretty good pounding so far.

CRAFTWORX ULTIMA SSL

Absolutely fantastic wheelset! Roll super, super smooth! For such a lightweight wheelset and me being a larger rider (82kg) very, laterally stiff and super responsive!

Very impressed overall with the wheels and would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their current wheels!

Thomas , NSW

CRAFTWORX ULTIMA CARBON 50

...I have upgraded from Mavic overrated kysirium exalith Pro wheels which were very fast with noisy brakes.... I took these wheels for a spin and they blew me away with scary speed and just had to hold the brake a little too slow down wasn't used to the scary speed I call it and smooth as silk with racing and braking performance 2nd to none and look modestly great. Money well spent and can't wait to ride them again. Mark and his team have so much passion in their field of wheel building and should be awarded with medals in my book. If the review was out of 10 I would give them 11. I can't stop rating these wheels. Mark and crew please keep up what your doing and get stronger with your passion.

CRAFTWORX ULTIMA SL50

I don't have any excuses any more, these wheels are light and stiff and roll true and forever. Its now down to my legs! Great to see a local wheel builder doing good things. Highly recommend buying direct rather than via numerous middlemen, result being the consumer ends up paying margin on margin.

CRAFTWORX ULTIMA SSL

I originally purchased the Ultima 25 SLs as an all weather option for my Campagnolo Bora Ultra 50 setup, but once I’d ridden the SLs on a few rides, the Boras have remained in their wheel bags ever since, and I’m struggling to imagine a time when I won’t continue to ride SLs on a full time basis
These wheels are so smooth and quiet, and the braking performance with the supply pads is phenomenal … and did I mention how quiet they are ;-)
Top shelf quality wheels at a great price … couldn’t ask for more

Chris, NSW

CRAFTWORX ULTIMA SL

Have been using the Ultima 25 SLs for over a year and cannot fault them. I also have Shimano Dura Ace wheels (C24 and C35) but have not used them since I have purchased these .
The tubeless factor is one reason , but my original thoughts were to train on the Ultimas and race on the Shimano wheels but now race on the Ultimas as well for road races and only use the Shimano wheels for Crits .
Am considering buying another set for my second road bike .
